THE FUTURE BELONGS TO YOU

The future belongs to those who think. Its never too late to start thinking for yourself. You might think your time is over, but trust me it is not. The things we regret the most are the things we didn't do not the things we did. So its better to start doing more. 

The world is full of Nay Sayers, people who will tell you you cant do this and that, always bring up a reason why you cant achieve your dreams. But you can do something, you can stop listening to them and if that is so hard to do, you can ignore them when they talk. 

I believe there is nothing more important that believing in your self, figuring out what is it you want and planning vividly on how to achieve it. There is actually nothing more important.

Plan your way to success, its not easy but with dedication and passion for what you do, you will succeed in the end. Success is sure for anyone who does what they love and dedicate themselves to it. As Henry Ford said, "a business dedicated to service will have only one worry about profit, it will be embarrassingly large".

But it is important you figure out what is it you want to do because as Steve Jobs said "If you don't love it, you will give up" this is absolutely true because the road to success is a very rough one, you will face a lot of hurdles. The only reason for you to persist is your love for what you do and your belief in yourself.

If you don't decide today to do the things you want and plan on achieving your dreams, you will wake up tomorrow and still find yourself in the same place you were yesterday.

It recently dawned on me and became very clear that the only person that truly cares about me is me. I tried to stand outside by the road side for a very long time and realized that no one actually cared, I could have spent the night standing and the only thing people would say is, "were you still here where I left you?" nothing more, no one cares whether you succeed or fail. The sooner you realize that you are on your own in this world the better. 

Steve Job said in his speech at the Stanford University, that for you to really succeed in this life, you have to assume your parent are dead, that is, start to live life as you should, knowing you are actually on your own.

Understanding one is on their own is very important it is very frightening also. Because reality will look you right in the face and then suddenly you will realize that no own actually cares. The benefit is tremendous, you will start to focus on yourself and live the life that you choose to live. 

So, start today, dream as much and as big as you want to and then get out of your dreams and plan all the way to the end. Plan on how to achieve it and you will be surprised how true that turns out to be in a short time.

The frightening thing about time is it never stops, if you look back five years, you will see that it really isn't a long time, but if you should look ahead five years, you will start to think it is a long time, that's your head lying to you. 

Let say your problem is money. And you start doing something today that pays you ₦200 everyday, and you save ₦100. In  a year, you will have ₦36,500 saved in your account. For someone earning just ₦200 a day now having ₦36,500 with the right mind set and proper planning, a business can kick start with that amount and in few years turns out a huge success.
Let me put myself as an example, when I came back from the University, I had just about ₦30,000 with me and my laptop. It took me four years to save both the money for the laptop and the cash I came back with. Now I am a proud owner of a business that has 7 employees and has been running steadily for 3 years.
